Hi guys! Third place! :toot
Thanks to all for you votes :)
It's been a real pleasure to partecipate! It was a pity that I couldn't demonstrate how my blaster works,
because it shoots a green laser, has red glowing valves, the mechanism is turning and the manometer is functional :)
I've done more work for the guts than for the outside :D
I'll post detailed pictures and videos in a dedicated thread.
Thanks again to everyone and congratulations to the winners!!! :cheers :cheers :cheers

dartharnold, PM sent :)

Well, there's some mixed news (or rather, lack of news)--I was getting ready to send an email to Kapowwe to update them on the contest, and then I remembered they're in a suburb of Houston! I'll let everyone know if they're OK once I know anything.

Oh Gosh, best wishes for Kapowwe! Here is to hoping everything is just fine.

I think the voting went well, and Darth your blaster was awesome, DO NOT sell yourself short.

There were so many cool entries this year and some very interesting ones to be sure. I really enjoy being a part of, and always look forward to entering, this contest.

:cheers

Now it's time for all of us to discuss builds. Techniques, materials, etc.

Which is always just as much fun as the contest itself for me.

:clap

Hurrah ! Thanks for voting my entry at the second place !
I am very very proud that you guys still like my style of blasters :D
Another one for my personal BBC Hall of Fame :toot

BIG congrats to the winner who did an awesome and excellent blaster - I really like the perfect "transmissions" of the used components.

And of course to all other great entries :up

Funny that each year seems to have a motto - now I am anxious on the 2009 contest :rock

I`ll be more than happy to spend my price for a good thing as I did with my last 3 prices.

Ahoi,
Stephan

woot! great contest everyone!

voting was even harder than last time, three choices didn't make it any easier.

Z-man, I liked your gun! where did you get the base gun? my third vote was between your gun and #2. that #2 was so outa left field I really like it.

hey Z, maybe if you painted your drum gun like dudley did that concept blaster, thats one awesome paintjob! I gotta give painting my stuff like that a try!

I got lucky on my gun, the wood grip wasn't coming out very well, but the paint job made the rest of the gun really pop out good. it was looking pretty grim until I did the brass.

I got it at Academy sporting goods although I think I saw a few at Bass-Pro last time I was in one. I was a bit disappointed with the distance it shoots though. Its one of those little rubber pellet guns. I was originally going to do something else with it but I thought of the drum idea and just ran with it do to time restraints. I would like to repaint it later but for now I think its just going to sit around.

I did mine in four days so you lose the rushed argument. ;) I didn't have much a chance to do any thing this summer other then my job. I barely got that gun painted, if I remember I did it one night while eating dinner. Pasta if you would believe it.
